• The Perfect Fit, is a 52 page booklet, which details the rise of multi-cultural entrepreneurs of the Gold Coast. The book is designed to complement the typographical signage design trends of the 60’s and 70’s. Supporting launch materials were also produced, these included, invitational flyers and large hanging banners.

  • The brief was to produce an exciting and dynamic show peice that was sympathetic to the new City of Gold Coast brand, incorporating the use of brand colours and brand elements with emotive photography to reflect the exciting central business district development. Created was a visually stimulating oversized outer shell with an A4 sealed document inside to entice the public with the one off policies and information on offer.

  • This book looks at the lives and contributions of Australian South Sea Islanders – those early indentured labourers and their descendents –
to the Gold Coast and nearby areas. After seeing our work for Hot Dogs and Meatpies – WWII on the Gold Coast, Dr Kevin Rains of The City of Gold Coast and the Commonwealth Government commissioned us to design a book to accompany the celebrations of Australian South Sea Islanders – www.assi150.com.au

The design and layout is a respectful depiction of over 150 years of history and over 2 years of research and writing by Dr Kevin Rains and many others. For more images view on our Behance folio here.

Halfnine was able to take all of our information and create a document which is easy to read, visually tantalising and tells a story - the document visually represents the communities vision for Surfers Paradise. The Surfers Paradise vision stands out, it is instantaneously recognised and has set the direction for not only the future of Surfers Paradise but all projects in the precinct.
